Hello and welcome to our Term 3 blog
update! We enjoy writing our blogs as a class, so everything you read here comes straight from our mouths!"2019 has been great so far!" (Aaron)
"Recently in maths we have been looking at
bar graphs and pictograms as part of our information handling topic." (Matthew) "We have
been making our own." (Mia) "We like doing maths stations in our maths groups, for
example active maths, chromebook work and jotter work." (Arran) "I've really enjoyed maths!" (Ryan S).
"We have begun our new topic comparing Scotland
and New Zealand." (Ryan S) "We loved looking at Scottish myths and legends and will soon
look at NZ myths and legends." (Jennifer) “I’ve really enjoyed learning about the myths and legends, such as Bein-Nighe” (Jennifer). Furthermore, we have designed our own tartan
patterns and will compare our national dress with New Zealand’s (Lacey). We are learning
a Scots poem for Rabbie Burns’ day (Kenzie). We will learn some more Gaelic and also
some Maori! (Matthew)
"We have also started Project X, which is
our exciting new reading scheme." (James)
We look forward to our school trip on the
29th where we will hear a concert as part of Celtic Connections. We
have been practising our Scottish dancing for the ceilidh on February 1st;
we look forward to seeing you there!
